Responsibilities

Dr. Owen teaches inorganic chemistry and related topics. He is module leader for all inorganic modules as listed below:

  • PH1S16 – Fundamental Inorganic Chemistry
  • PH2S48 – Bioinorganic Chemistry
  • PH2S99 – Inorganic Chemistry 2
  • PH3S25 – Advanced Inorganic Chemistry

He is also contributing / has contributed to the following modules:

  • PH0S44, PH2S07, PH2S08, PH3S21, PH3D03 and PH4T002

Research

Dr. Owen’s currently leads a research group current consisting of five PhD students (Angelo Iannetelli, Simon Thomas, Rachel McLaren, Miriam Jackson and Sean Browner) and a Senior Research Fellow (Dr. Nildo Costa). His research is funded by the Leverhulme Trust and KESSII funding. We current hold collaborations with Perpetuus Carbon Technologies and Tata.
