CHIEF SCIENTIFIC ADVISOR FOR WALES’ VISIT OF USW

On January 20th, the University of South Wales welcomed Professor Julie Williams CBE, Chief Scientific Advisor for Wales, who met the university’s executive and key research staff in the STEM and applied social sciences.

The visit promoted the new Sêr Cymru II programme which has the aim of increasing research capacity in Wales building upon the current excellent performance of researchers in Wales.

The visit also consisted of a tour of facilitates and active experiments at laboratories in Upper Glyntaff from researchers in SERC and Sport, Health and Exercise.
